I was wondering if anyone could recommend a garage close to South East London for me to take my 1989 VW Atlantic for its first MOT and service. I don't mind traveling to go somewhere good. I am hoping that it won't need any work but if it does do people think I should go to a specialist garage in the first instance of wait to find out if I need any work?

A service doesn't cover all the MOT tests. So first take it for an MOT at a recommended garage. If it fails on anything then get that fixed when you get it serviced and have it retested.

I am sure someone on here will point you to a localish MOT station and a good service garage (possibly even the same place).

Can somebody assist Sandra101? There must be somebody close by.

Hi Sandra, looks like a few of the members on here have used Riverside Garage in Charlton. Does MOT & servicing & know T25's well:

I currently take mine to Elite in Essex as I bought an engine from them and am getting itserviced to keep up the warranty. Have no complaints about their work although they are usually pretty busy.

Cracking bunch of people, very helpful and very fair tests in spotlessly clean MOT bays. Will miss using them now I've moved up north!
