Mods, if this is in the wrong place feel free to move it.
I've decided I can't get matching upholstery to replace the worn bits in my van so.........
Going to have to retrim the whole lot. Has anybody had a full re-trim of a hightop Autosleeper recently and if so how much did it cost? Prefer someone in North of England (Yorks area). I did consider buying an industrial sewing machine for the neighbour over the road who said she'd 'have a go' but I want a definite good job.

Thanks for the link. Looking like around £1500 for the whole lot then (Was hoping for cheaper but expecting a little more than that)
Hmmm. Do I buy a machine and get the neighbour to do it? Or maybe even have a go myself Decisions, decisions.

We did our Komet a few years ago,front seats, door cards,sliding door card,left side panel,r+r seat and back, mattress section over engine bay,tailgate panel and buddy seat. Marine vinyl blue and cream £600 worth it as it made her our van, have to say has worn well and easy to keep clean. Over in Northern Ireland so no good to you but heres some pics and part of the rebuild thread on my local VW club site might help.

We just had ours done by Chris at http://www.trimmingtonic.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; in a similar style to slippy. He did door cards, all the seats(including new foams for rear) & the fridge cover & straps for cupboard lids for £1400. A really good job & he's not too far from York

Thanks Andy. Lots of places to try so far. Just need to decide what material and colour No rush cos it's still usable but I want it looking smarter.

Trimming seems to be like paint work all different prices, don't be fooled by thinking if you pay more you get a better job, shop around, these prices seem HIGH to me,

To be honest I'd still rather have got used upholstery from a scrap van and kept it all looking original but I've been trying to get some to match for a couple of years on and off and no luck so far. Still considering getting an ind sewing machine and either doing it myself or getting neighbour to do it. I did re trim a van many years ago but had help/advice from a professional.

Just booked mine in and was quoted £700 for the two front seats and all the back seating and up top all in material x two kinds plus all new foam they normally do house hold furniture and caravans but take on the odd camper as he say's they are easy to do, I will post some pics when it's completed.

Yes, please do. Still pondering over the way to go. I have a budget and I have now been promoted to the 'That's the budget and not a penny over' brigade!!

Any before and after pics yet?

I got my rock and roll bed covers made in fire resistant material with zips to preserve original seating made to measure and posted £140 with delivery from suzi's curtains.
