Cheers for the quick response Billy. I saw that site the other day, didn't realaize it was stretchable. Is the glue any good? Half my problem is condensation taking out full strength evo-stick.

Hi there, the majority of people tend to use the stretchy stuff like in the link above. There's loads on eBay usually listed as veltrim or such like. I've used it and it's pretty easy to do. I used high temp spray adhesive. Mask off the area you want to cover, give it a spray and then spray the back of your fabric. You can then mould it into whatever shapes you are going to cover. It sticks like poo to a blanket.

I got hold of my Veltrim from a English company, Harrison Trim Supplies. Very impressed with the quality of the material, seems really dense and durable and all for a good price. They are listed on the bay of e.

The carpet from Megavanmats is excellent - as is the high temp adhesive.

I did mine, its very straight forward process to get a high quality finish, as has been said, it stretches and manipulates very easily.

The high temp adhesive is an absolute must (about 8 or 9 tin I used on a T5)

Loads of new knife blades - dont try and use them once dulled or blunted (some blades need chucking even after one cut) they are only cheap and blunt ones are where the accidents happen.
i really enjoyed doing mine - make sure its well ventillated else you may see the purple haze like I did

Its much easier not to point it out to anyone

If its in the right place, you can shave it off

I am hoping to carpet the front cabin area of my van but can anyone say if this lining carpet is OK to use in these areas ie footwells if additional foot mats are used? Thanks.

Personally I wouldn't use it where it will be under foot - sides are fine. Its good and durable but its thin and not the heavy gauge you find in floor carpet

Thanks for that, just thought that it would be difficult to get carpet to fit to the shapes.

The mega van mats glue remover, solvent remover whatever it's called is excellent and well worth having to remove tar and other sticky stuff, works best if used early but also happy at removing stuff that's fully dried.

Moulding footwell carpet would be tricky - I would'nt bother trying. If its just the cab, buy a pre-made set and save yourself the agro of trying. Or get some made by the people withthe HD machines to stitch th eedges
