fuel filter change

hi might be a stupid question but when you change the fuel filter do you need to fill it with fuel before you put it on or just whack it on and crank her up

Whack it on
Assuming you have fuel in the float chamber it should start and then pull fuel through

There is an arrow on it for fuel flow direction also

Fuel filter? Petrol then WHS^^^^^^^^^ but if Diesel then you certainly want to fill it to the brim with diesel fuel when fitting otherwise you'll end up flattening the battery trying to start it.

Ahh well spotted that's why its best to put your engine in your sig to prevent duff info and not hidden away

..and if petrol, remembering there are TWO filters (well there are on my DG) - another one in the carb, metal guaze thing... often forgotten, til it plays up
