Iluminate speedo binnacles.

Hi I have a break in the circuit for clocks that lights the bulbs to speedo and fuel gauge. So I thought I`d wire in 2 LEDs as replacement, as they are brighter. I want them to light up when parking lights or dipped are on. I have a 1.6cs 1983 early single plug type circuit. Has anyone got any ideas where to wire these LEDs into please so they work with keys in ignition or not, dipped or parking lights? I have been out there on this horrible wet cold day trying a tester on wires?
Anyone got lighting diagram or 83 1.6 CS diagram that ilustrates the single multiplug and what they are for? I hope Ive made it clear enough to understand.
