After heavy rain, streaks are appearing on the panels? Is this just daily dirt and grime or is coming from the seals? Anyone else have this problem?

I will try get one tomorrow. But I can't remember seeing anything coming from the seals themselves and they look in ok condition... Strangeeeee

picky of window above will help loads, is it only this panael/window , also what paint is the van especialy the bottom half thats been painted, is is sort of matt/emulsiony etc

Fresh coat of rustoleum on the bottom. Will try get a snap of the seals

I get streaks, even on the high top above and away from any windows. I have also had all my window seals replaced too, so not them even though there are streaks lower down.

My opinion is it's cr@p from the atmosphere deposited by rain.

Definately perished window seals. They're breaking up. I think I mentioned a while back that if you repaint and keep old window seals, you'll be plagued with this. Replace them and this will stop. Its more pronounced on white or cream colours.

Bugger. Is it a big job? Any advice on where/where not to buy replacements?

You could try some trim dressing like http://www.wolfschemicals.com/en/termek ... m-dressing or DODO JUICE DODO Rubber Trim CLEANER / SEALANT, SOLVENT DRESSING- YMMV
Or a bit of vaseline.

Its looks worse on white paint. I know as my California looks like it's crying after heavy rain.
Need new seals definately.

My Merc does it also - Rustoleum white but there are no windows there for it to be the rubbers, nothing but acres of white paint above.

Nice one. Will try the old baseline trick first.
