That looks like a tidy van inside and out. If the mechanicals are good too, that is a bargain. Welcome to the westie side.

not a westy roof but if you can live with the height then happy days!

I had no idea it wasn't an original roof.. I had intended to pay a lot more and buy a pop top Malibu or westy. I would have preferred a pop top but at the price I couldn't turn it down (for a westy surely that's a bargain?).
Just hope I don't get blown over. I think the pictures on the add are old and its not as tidy as it looks, but some rustoleum and a bit of work should solve that.
I wanted somewhere for my daughter to sleep so a bed upstairs is ideal.
Will be giving it some good runs in the next week and if all I will be signing up for as many meets, bashes and trips as I can!! As my last T25 died a few days before Dubfreeze 2012 and never made a single event..

And I've done it again.. Last Van I bought was a complete money pit/dog..
The westy the roof leaks around the sealant.. not a problem really I can mend that..
Gear changes awful but not a problem I can sort this.
Heater doesn't work and wipers packed up.. all fuses current and correct.. already thinking this is going to be trouble..

Don't despair! I remember getting that 'sinking feeling' several days after I bought my California.....Ebber didn't work, fridge didn't work, the sink tap didn't work, petrol pored out from underneath when I filled the tank...the list went on! However, ask yourself the question...is the bus basically sound and if the answer is yes then it's just a case of steadily wading through the list. Think of it this way.....at just over three grand for a Westy there was always going to be a few things to put right and as long as none of those things are major you should be rejoicing in your bargain purchase.
