Radiator removal

Hoping someone can help, I have had a search but cant seem to see anything re this problem.
I've removed the front grills and disconnected everything, checked the bolts that hold the rad brackets in place and they have freed of easily enough. The only problem I can see is the bars that connect to the spare wheel holder, How do you remove the bars so the radiator can drop down?
Also the 2 pipes that go to the heater matrix, one has a plastic round valve on it, what is this valve for as it also looks like there is coolant leaking from that area.
Thanks in advance.

The bars pull out once the split pins are removed.
the valve is the flow control (heat) it should be attatched to a cable which in turn is connected to the heat control lever

Cheers, radiator out, safe to say im soaking wet, not from the radiator removal more so the great Scottish weather.
Ill look into the black box as its far easier to get to now the radiator is removed, hopefully its just a leak from the old clips.
Only good thing is so far is I jump tested the radiator fan and it works on both speeds, new sensor being fitted to the new radiator.

dont forget the 4 rubber washers that fit on the lugs, glue them on so they dont slip off when your fitting back

Thanks for the advice on gluing on the rubbers.
I did buy the radiator mounts from justkampers with it being a 84 model but cant for the life of me see them.

Cheers for that, I know the radiator fan works by jumping it when it was removed, how do I test it with everything back in place?
Thanks.
