Hi my T25 has been sitting for about 6 months now and i am planning to start her this weekend , Prior to her rest she was active and in constant use.Could anybody tell me what i should expect and how i should prepare .Thanks in advance.

Stick your van and engine type in your sig will help advice

If its a wbx appart from a flat battery should be ok
If you left the hand brake on you may be in trouble
May sound very noisy due to tappet drain down nothing to worry about giv it a good run and it will clear
Obviously you need to check oil and water
Sometimes you can get fuel draining down and that makes it hard to start

If you have a prayer mat - lay it on the floor facing the van, pray for a good half an hour and then give it a go!

I have the same situation and have found that it's best to turn the engine for a while, then go and have a cuppa. Come back and try again. This gives the fuel pipe time to refill, and you stand a chance of statrting the van. I also have a battery pack charged up in case the van battery gets low. Good luck!

What I don't understand is why you left it 6 months without starting it

Even if I can't get out I regularly start the van and let it get up to temperature

Busy busy dude this van is my baby but as you get older the sea gets further away

Bliddy well isn't getting further away here - erosion means it is getting closer.

Less drive to get to your boat must be good

Anybody that might be interested my camper started without a glitch and is purring like a kitten

Congratulations anyway.

Mine seemed a little reluctant to fire but I remembered I had a can of EasyStart in the shed that my old man gave me decades ago. A quick squirt of that up the air intake, and vrooom! No kittens purring, just clattering tappets for a few seconds, but it settled down to normal 'sewing machine' quite quickly.
