V6 into Syncro?

Having just spent hours sorting logistics for a TDI install into Fred the single cab, have just seen a thread on brickwerks from last year about the Audi V6 conversion, the main point was that apparently the V6 and 5 CYL. share the same bellhousing pattern.
Can anyone confirm this as I have a spare V6 lying around.!!?

Yes they do share same bell housing pattern.
