Evening,
am trying to find a WIKI input or a thread on how to remove:
Front door handles
Sliding door handle
Boot lock
...in order to assist when repainting van.
Last time I painted around them but I'd like to do a better job of it this time..
Thanks
FW

cab doors
open door and move the rubber seal at the rear of the handle near the lock mech and you will see a pozi screw head .undo 3-4 turns then give it a tap, this will move the handle fwd, then remove screw and handle pulls out at rear end then slide it back out .
slider
door card off, and you will see a small pozi or an 8mm spanner size head, remove this and pull handle straight out of door ( keep the spacers etc from behind the screw
boot lock
remove card
assuming non lecky?
then lift tailgate and remove the 3 pozi screws fitted to striker plate,
then fasten a cord somewhere on the door frame sit inside on engine lid and pull door down and secure with rope , this leaves both your hands free to extract the lock button it comes inwards and twists , you will see the sort of slot that the screw hole casting will fit through.
mm
easier to do that write
