My voltage regulator on the alternator melted the other night .. Could smell the batteries getting hot I thing but not apparent damage done?? But at the same time I lost both dip beams.. All fuses seem good! I recently did the headlamp rewire mod and followed Mr AXEMAN's solution .. Worked perfectly !!! Could the power surest have fried my dip/ main switch as everything looks to be ok except no power to the relays on dip??? :?

Well.... An almost catastrophic chain of events...
Voltage reg melted(14.5 upgrade from euro parts just over 12 months old)
This blew both my "night breakers" ( but right at the very top so they looked fine!!
Started to boil my battery ( no mistaking that smell)
A fuse blew but took a meter to prove as it also looked fine!
So in between blasting rain showers and 2days later, after pulling apart my lamp rewire setup looking for a fault and questioning the switch integrity ... Sorted it all with new bits!! :ok
