Rock and Roll bed cushions at different heights

Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a storage box or anything else that sits on top of the engine bay to make the cushions on a rock and roll bed the same height. My recently bought T25 Devon Moonraker has the issue that with the back seat part of the rock and roll bed extended out to bed format is then a good cushion width higher than the cushion that sits on the engine bay (which at present is sitting on the bare metal). Cheers

Yes, there is usually a frame and/or storage box that the rear cushion sits on. Many Devon's I have seen have a moulded storage tray.

My van (an EMC conversion I believe) has a plywood storage base to keep the cushions level when the bed is down.

This provides a good out of sight storage space, only accessible from the rear door, the panel hinges upwards.
It should be quite easy to make something like this.
:ok
