Mechanical dummy - Montrose, angus

I am really keen to learn about mechanics. I have been reading a number of books on mechanics including Haynes manuals but am finding it really difficult to find understand from diagrams, although youtube videos have been helpful. I can't afford to do a mechanics Course, but am in the process of going round local garages to ask if I can watch in return for cups of tea, but no luck so far!

My t25 is currently waiting for me to have enough money to buy her a new engine and thankfully I have a great mechanic who will fit the new engine when the time comes. However I want to understand how she works, and be able to do some jobs on her myself.

I was wondering if there was anyone nearish (30 mile radius) to montrose who would be willing to let me watch them tinker with their van? I can't afford to give any financial contribution but would be happy to exchange watching hours for odd jobs.

Thanks, :-D

From Diane

Hi reggaj,

Thanks for the link I am going to become a member! I was also wondering if you would be up for letting me come and watch you work on your t25 at some point as my grandmother lives in bridge of weir and I go down to help her with her garden when I have the time.

Cheers,

Diane :-D
