I'm sure someone will be along to correct me, but I've always understood that factory fit windows are no good for converted panel vans. They fit differently into the body. Also the seals are different. Panel van conversions use what they call rubber fit window seals. It has an insert that fits in a channel in the middle of the seal. Hope this gibberish makes some sense.

well if youve bought an opening slider in a mmetal/ally frame then yes its a straightforward fit to a panal van,
i can supply the rubber seal for this, also make sure your window is for the correct side

They fit differently into the body
they actuall fit the same in the body
you just need panel van rubbers!
conversion windows can either be flat or curved - factory windows are flat

I stand corrected. I thought the windows were different because they fitted on the inner lip. Didnt realise you just need to change the seal.

there is no inner lip , panel vans just use the outer skin
factory window vans have an inner skin as well. the 2 skins meet and are welded creating 1 lip. this is whay the window fits too.
they recess the lip so the window fits just below flush.
