This was the factory fitted standing heater on the WEstfalia Joker of 1980.
I Live in South East Essex and wonder if there is anyone in Essex, East London or North Kent who knows how to make this 'tick' again.
In other words a specialist without the Bosch or Eberspaecher service prices!

But How? I know it should make the ticking noise when itis working, ie pumping.
Sounds so easy:fire it up? I'm not particularly mechanically minded.
Would you be good enough to give me a step by step instruction?
For example it is dangerous, ie could damage the heater, if you start the car's engine and then switch on the Eberspaecher.
Or do you think it can be done? Perhaps there is a short while the bulb is starting to glow.
Perhaps the heaterbulb needs replacing. Or the pump . ?
Hope to get a faultfinding manual next week from Germany and will let you know of my progress.
What do you do when your Eberspaecher isn't working probably?

can't really say i know much about petrol models, check the exhaust, blow down the inlet, if you can't blow it's blocked! inlet looks like exhaust. you'll not hurt it by turning it on either with or without the engine running. when you turn it on nothing happens for a while, then the pump will start, you'll be able to hear it clicking away followed shortly by the blower fan! if there's no fuel or the line is blocked nit will turn of shortly after! if it doesn't work you'll need to work out why and what to do about it! hopefully your manual might help on this! may even show pics and common faults! let us know how you get on!!
