Should our T25 Syncro have a light or buzzer when at low fuel?

Ah, ok.
Whilst driving in awful weather I wasn't watching the gauge and came within a hair of running out, at least I think I did.

How many litres did it take to fill? The tank holds 70 litres. If the gauge isn't accurate it is probably due to a bad connection. Probably the joints near the tank sender.
The general consensus is to refill at around 600 kilometres.

We had managed 655km earlier in the week, but the journey had been more relaxed. This time we were caning it on the motorway and had done 550km plus when I decided to refuel.
