My poor old bus will not idle once warmed up and even cuts out whilst clutch is depressed between gears, Is their a idle screw as such or just the mixture screw and choke adjust screw?

It could be the idle cut off valve it not working or disconnected or the idle jet is blocked.

make sure all the vacuum lines are on and not leaking air into the inlet manifold.

DF's have a twin vacuum distributor, detached pipes increase the idle speed.

A weak idle mixture can stall a hot engine and cause misfire under acceleration.
I have found.
too little fuel or too much air.
it is most likely too little fuel

Thanks peop's, I had renewed the vacuum pipe connections before the problem got worse. How do I find the idle jet, Just follow pipes back?

remove the carburettor and separate the float bowl, clean it spotlessly thoughout.
blow air into the jets or use a nylon bristle to clear the jets

It's screwed into the right hand side of the carburettor. Number 8 in the picture.
