Santa brought me a dash tidy!
I am going to have a go at fitting it and I am a bit nervous about drilling holes in the dash. After a bit of a rummage around I am now looking at fitting it with a bit of "no more nails" anyone tried this before, or any alternatives to drilling dash?
Cheers

You can get rolls of sticky back velcro, I've used it for a few things but not the dash tidy as that was already screwed to the dash. Don't know why you're so nervous about drilling and fixing it with self tappers, easy enough I'd have thought; unless you want to retain a 'virgin' dash in case it's discarded at a later date?
I certainly wouldn't glue it on

Thanks
Im not scared of drilling holes in dash, it was more a case of spoiling to look at a later date. I am sure the dash will outlast the tidy!
I was concerned about using tape, I knew I would have a hot coffee in the holder when the tape gave up!
Thought no more nails type of Sealant was a half way permanent method. (plus it cost a pound from pound shop)

My dash already has holes (in slightly the wrong place

) from where one of the previous owners screwed a dash tidy down. I wish it didn't. If it was me, I'd definitely use the self-adhesive velcro, but if you really want to glue it down I'd use something that will come off more easily in the future - some ordinary silicone sealant should be more than enough.

By chance I was in halfords today and bought a metre strip of Velcro that is 50mm thick! That'll do the job! I'll post the results....

It will look pretty weird perched 50mm up in the air! Did you mean 50mm wide perchance?

Yes I meant 50mm wide!
Wonder what 50mm thick Velcro would look like?! Pretty strong though, lol

Velcro worked a treat, so far so good. Also stops it rattling and vibrating.
