Vactan rust converter

Anyone ever sprayed vactan on before primer when respraying there van.

Loads of people using and reccomending vactan here
Not sure if they are spraying it

It says you can spray it on there website. I've used it on a few ares of my bus and seems to work very well. Just not sure if it's suitable to be used to coat whole van before primer or just to use on the seams.

why would you want to spray the whole van with it ? use it on seams and areas that have had as "much rust as you can removed first"

yea have been reading and you are right. no point in putting it on good fresh steel. Think I will just do the seams and other common rust points like you say

Been using it for over 3 years now. If a bit of rust appears, rub it back and coat with vactan which so far has stopped it breaking through again.

That's good to know. I have read some great reviews. I used it on my bus about 5 months ago and there are no signs of rust coming through so I have no doubt it is a great product. My main query is how good is it as an undercoat/primer before spraying as because it's next to the metal I'm paranoid it may peel or something.
