Hi there, I recently bought a lovely hi top that needs a significant amount of tlc! The majority of the gutter rails are shot. I dont know thr full extent of the damage yet but I was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of some replacements to weld on. unless anyone knows a good way of knocking some up?! Any help would be amazing!

Hi there and good question.

I've bought a tin top which is going to be a high top by match. My gutters are shot so I'm gonna do them first........

......along with the windscreen edge, rear window edge x2, both battery trays, front panel, both steps, lip for rear door seal and all the seams, then paint with olive green rustoleum.

........oh and my engines now in a million pieces in the shed cos I'm doing this first!

......... And then I'm gonna make some interior

I have a Westy roof with very good gutters here

I only need the internal metal work so the gutters are surplus to requirements.

I can get it cut up or you could come down and take the remainder, your choice.

I'm in Notts, gutters will be free

If you were able to cut them off I could work out a time thats convenient for you and come and pick them up. Let me know what you think.

How quick do you need them?

I can certainly trim them off - let me know how much you need and if you want it in sections.

Thanks for letting me know faggie, I'll keep that in mind. poshbuggers, I'm not in a rush - this is definitely a new year project! The complete lengths would be great if thats ok? I'm in birmingham over christmas 23rd - 27th, otherwise I could wait until the new year - probably halfway through jan. Which ever puts you to the least amount of trouble. Thanks again.

Early Jan would be better and you are welcome to them. I'll pick up some fine cutting discs and have a go the first dry day I get.

some of the westy gutters are the same as factory hightop and very early t25 gutters which are essentially the same as bay window gutters - this curves back over itself to cover part of the groove - 'c' in cross section

all the standard and later t25's have a differnt gutter which is just an right angle in cross section

And I beleive there are 2 sizes of the "C" shaped ones as well
