So today was. A major achievement. The van moved for the first time in 6 months. Finally off the ramps. Drive forward and backwards on the drive a little.
Then the clutch went limp. Couldn't change gear.
Looked upset van and clutch line fluid was dropping down from the well above the fuel tank.
Maybe I'm cursed to not use the van again. Good job I didn't book the MOT.

So now it looks like I have to drop the fuel tank and see what's gone wrong.

I think I want to cry

you don't need to drop the tank ,just feed the new pipe through (tape up the end so no "pooh" gets in) .if you drop the spare wheel you should see a male/female union connection to go off and then run it over the tank right to the back so you have a new pipe all the way through .theres probably no way you are going to put an end on the old stuff.
machine mart do a brake pipe flaring kit for 30 quid and you need a pipe cutter and a length of pipe...all in all about 45 quid and there will be some pipe left for brakes when they pack up too

oh..and that's what happened why I picked up my van after buying it ..80 mile trip to get there and 2 mile down the road in it and the pipe went exactly where you describe...must be steel pipe

I've been doing a little reading, it looks like clutch pipe is 6mm and brake pipe is 3/16" which is annoying as the flaring kits seem to either come as metric or imperial not a combo.

don't matter about pipe size use normal brake pipe..all you need is to connect it up at the ends

well mine all fitted together as I remember ..can anyone else confirm this ???

first drop the spare and look under where the driverside is and see if the union connection is there for the clutch

its kind of pleasing to make your own pipes up

Have dropped the spare wheel and had a look. It certainly has a weaving route. There must be 5 or 6 quite tight bends in it and will have to get it behind all the other rods and pipes etc if I want to secure it all properly yo the chassis.
The connector is next to the radiator, at least that grille comes off easily.
Well I like a challenge, I think.

Have decided I want to use cunifer and want to stick with the original 6mm so that the feel of the pedal doesn't change.

Can anyone recommend where to get 6mm cunifer pipe from?
My first thought was brickwerks but they only sell it in a clutch pipe repair kit and I don't want to spend money on a through coupling that I'm not going to use as I want to flare both ends and replace the entire pipe.

I filled in the web form on the website and sent Simon a PM on here on Wednesday and have heard nothing since.
Happy to try making them up myself, just wanted the pipe, only other place i've found selling 6mm is on ebay but i'd rather not be lining ebays pockets

Just had an email from Brickwerks, my web enquiry had gone into the spam folder.
Pipe is now added to the webshop as a separate item. And its cheaper than the stuff on ebay

So as its Friday evening, i'll spend the weekend trawling the Brickwerks website to see if there is anything else worth buying to make the most of the postage.
