Eberspacher Fuel Supply

Hello
I will soon be fitting a D2 eberspacher in to my 1.6 CS diesel van.
I have seen people fit a T-piece after the van's fuel filter for the heater fuel supply, but some people have said this can cause problems if running both the van and heater at the same time.
Has anyone had any experience with fitting one?
Would it be that difficult to take the fuel feed from the tank?
Thanks
Matt

D2 has a consumption of 0.28 litre per hour at full whack, 0.1 litre per hour at lowest setting - "some people" are talking through their rear exhausts!
Go ahead - no one has ever suffered any problems due to this.

I fitted a Webasto recently (purchased from the very helpful OBG) and have spliced mine into the fuel pipe.
I have had no problems and can see no reason why i should.
FYI I believe that if I was to take the feed from the tank (my westfalia has a designated hole for this purpose) then the tank needs to be half full or the level is not high enough to be taken up by the pump.
Splicing is far easier!
Regards
Steve

Both my vans have theirs spliced in. No issues.

OP seems to have disappeared - was it something I said?

Bit of a late reply!
Thanks very much for the information - it's greatly appreciated.
Here's to some heat in the winter!
Thanks
