is anyone using one of these as a means of heating or a water/coolant heater ?

I'm wanting to fit one at some stage, just waiting for the right one at the right price

well....we bought a rover 75 a while ago and they seem to be fitted into these. i didn't realise it was there till the other day we got a fuel leak and it was from the dosing pump....anyhows it got me thinking on how it could be used if there was a radiator of sorts it pumped round with maybe a fan to blow it out. I dunno .. I was just thinking too hard praps.

I have a doc. on how to service them if anyone is interested , as im doing mine.

could be a bit of a gamble and the dosing pump is 65 quid cheapest ive seen

For camping, the airtronics are better. The coolant ones are great for engine preheat and defrosting the car.

Should say, I already have a airtronic, looking for a water one for engine preheat..

If I was you I'd remove it and give it to me

mine is set to come on at 5deg or lower but you can run a wire from pin 3 to earth or 12v (depending on which model you have ) and operate it remotely via just a switch or....remote

oh and that sentence is hard to work out too

You could even set up a remote for it..

remotes are about 10 quid from china
