I thought I saw a fred on here but can't find it.

Has anyone fitted an LED PIR security light to their home?

Are they any good?
Can you recommend a make/model?

Thanks
TAD

Yep got mine from Lidl on one of their offers, does the job although it was only to replace a 150w halogen one.

If only you could buy LED GU10 replacements, and be certain they'd sodding fit into the housings... The various GU10s are the only incandescents we've still got. And, of course, they're in "high use" areas, like above the kitchen worktop.

If anybody's got any recommendations for LED GU10s that are the same size, so fit into recessed housings behind circlips, then PLEASE let me know!

We buy our led gu10's from Denmans, the smd 4w flood ones are exactly the same size and give a really good spread of light.
I buy "a lot" of these and have only had one fail so far and at £6.25 + vat each there good value too.
Forgot to say there Eterna branded ones.

I have bought my last lot of GU10 LEDs from http://simplyled.co.uk All seem to be OK so far.
Also run a LED spot with a PIR, not sure of any details as it came off Ebay, still working a couple of years later, it was advertised as a 150watt replacement, I think it is about 10 watts or so.
