Just when it was going so well

So.
my rebuild engine has been in and running for around 3 weeks. today I took her our for a last run before the oil change.
got back and.. oil dripping for the rear of the engine. Noooooo..
. I think its the oil pump.. the face plate.. if that make sense..
So on a CU engine.. if I drop the exhaust. take off some tin.. can I get the fan housing off and get to the oil pump.. or an I dreaming? is it back to the hire shop for an engine hoist..
so depressed I think I'll have to watch some X factor.. just to remind me there are far worse things in life that spending a weekend freezing by bits of under a 32 year old van.
On the bright side at least my welding is so bad (think popcorn instead of frying bacon) I can pass the bodywork onto someone else. even if it will cost.
