Now this is what you call a Syncro
Any of you guys drive one of these? Very basic, no luxury but went anywhere.

I watched one of these vans doing a river crossing on "Long Way Round" and was impressed with it,

dont know what make it is though
any one know?/ seen one in this country?

Yes, they bought it after they rolled the Mitsubishi Pick-Up truck.
There was a brief feature on these things in a Practical Classics magazine a couple of months ago but i cant find the damn article (i think its in the camper!)
I believe they're very capable little off-roaders.

They are made by UAZ (Russian) and yeah they will go in any terrain. Not sure if i would like to do a long drive as the seats are "pooh", just vinyl covered boards. I would be suprised to see any in the UK due to not being road legal, may be wrong. I certainly haven't seen one. Gotta to be cheap though.
