Hi

I wondered if anybody could help.

I have recently bought a Famia bike rack and my tailgate will not stay up due to the additional weight.
Does anybody know if a company makes stronger struts to deal with this issue.

I could not find any detail on Wiki so appologies.

Seconded. The problem isn't that the standard struts aren't strong enough, it's that ancient shagged ones aren't.

We've got 1999 date-stamped 600N (standard strength) struts on our van - and the tailgate fair flies up, even with the Fiamma on the back. Takes a good tug to pull back down again - you definitely wouldn't want stronger.
