Hi-top side windows leaking

Hi, I have a 1990 T25 Holdsworth Villa 3 conversion with hi-top.
The hi-top roof has a window on each side that is and has always let water in when it rains. I've tried removing and revealing round the window without success. The windows are metal framed with glass, half of which slides open.
I've been to a local caravan service chap who said he could remove these windows and replace with plastic and new seals. As they are used for ventilation, especially during cooking, I wanted a skylight fitted, but he now says that due to the ribbed effect in the roof and the fact it isn't straight/level, he couldn't put a standard skylight in.
Does anyone know what type of window would have been installed by Holdsworth when she was built? Does anyone know of any skylight or other means of ventilation that I could fit to the roof, beating in mind the roof ridges that are approx 280mm wide with approx 30mm indentations either side.
Hoping someone out there has an answer
Thanks
Simon
