Eberspacher stuff-again!

I finally got round to getting under my Westy to see what the problem is with the Eberspacher only blowing out cold air and switching off when I turn the thermostat round-no fuel pump. This was actually pointed out to me previously, but I've only just got round to checking it-the wires for the pump are just wrapped around the pipes. Anyway, here's the question/s-does the fuel feed for the heater T off the engine fuel pipe or does it go into the tank? And is there any other fuel pump I can use, or is it just the Eberspacher one?Mine's a petrol heater, a B2L on an 81 Westy.

I would say that the fuel line will be T off the vans fuel line.
Pumps only an ebber pump will work ( well not entirely true a webasto one will work)
First things first is the battery fully charged ( which every its running off)
and is the pump pumping , clicking ?
really you need to get a volt meter on the battery thats powering the ebber and then start it up to see wots happing to the voltage
get up to daves wessie do at the weekend , we could have a look at it for ya , failing that i could pop in on my way home .

unfortunately you can only use the ebber pump, they don't pump constantly but pulse, varying speed according to the ecu's instructions!! for attaching fule line, it is best to t into the engine fuel line! have fun!

Cheers fellas. Imight try and get to the Wirral thing but it's my son's birthday that weekend, so we might be doing other stuff. But you're quite welcome to stop off on your way home for a brew and stuff if I don't make it.
Oh, and there is no fuel pump for it on my van. The fuel line for it has just been cut and tucked away inside a chassis rail, but now I know if I get one for it, where to T off and where to put the pump-on the bracket that's still there!

Any idea if that could be the problem with my Westy eberspacher, that only blows out cool air and it switches itself off pretty quickly too?
Are they supposed to whiff of petrol outside?

Mark, i've got the van in bits at the moment trying to replace the front to rear cooling pipes. Once its done (next week?!?) i'd love for somebody with some knowledge to look at it!
It seems to come on but only blows out cool air and after a few minutes switches itself off.
