Looks nasty.
Inner sills are £125 from Schofields and look to be good quality (they are making there own) good steel thickness etc. they also sell trailing arm mounts, outer sills etcetera. Not sure on prices for them but they are listed on website.

That is true, but they are going to run out eventually
I haven't fitted a Schofields one yet but from seeing one and feeling the weight, thickness of steel and folds etc I would say they are on a par with genuine.

indeed and nor have i fitted one so we cant say they are any good till we have i dont suppose and as long as gen are availablke then that has to be the way to go, as for longer term availablity ah thats the bit of string........back to the op, me thinks he has greater issues than the semantics of this discussion

I've just fitted a pair of Schofields inner ones last month & they were good
I think you can only get genuine nearside now

well dont mean to swear Mickey but "FECK ME"
i had a look underneatgh,
help me oot here
looks like sil bolted through floor
then sits ontop of swing arm and on front of a bracket ????
i presume these are welded ?
now the million dollar question
is it possible to cut out the sil and replace with stainless box section ?????
have pal who fabs exhausts etc, am really clutching at straws, as i guessing to replace both sils may render my old Betty as border line scrapping ???
thanks Mickey, and I read through your post, really gave me insight

Hi all
I fitted a schofields drivers side inner sill and although it was a good thickness there was a certain amount of artistic licence used in the profile and did take a lot of fecking about to get it fitted

I fitted a puka VW one on the drivers side with a lot of help from on here. Would be easier next time but was a hard job to do outside and lost a good deal of blood getting the old one off. Can be done as DIY but it is probably the hardest job I have done on my van. MM makes it look easy

due to significant experience and skill beyond my meager talents. That said I learnt loads doing it and there is a huge amount of info on here and people willing to help and keep your spirits up.
Hope it go ok
