'well the wintertime is coming - the pavements are filled with frost '-
as uncle bob sang - going by the weather forecasts for next week he could well be right -
keep thinking how great a warm sheltered space to work on /park the van up would be -
not sure if this one would be high enough for the high top - but something similar?
surely no planning permission for own drive?
anyone got/used something similar?
cheers me dears -
edoh :)

I am looking at two at the moment, the MachineMart one you have linked too and this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Portable-Gara ... 19c6c993a2

The MachineMart one looks better built but is twice the price (they have a VAT free offer on at the moment BTW).

From talking to a few guys on another forum they reckon the e-bay ones are pretty robust.

I think the door height will be marginal with a tin top/pop top, definately no chance with the a hitop.

Cheers,

MM

I have something similar, (from germany), had it for nearly 2 years. Framework very robust, hasn't moved even in gales. Fabric although heavy has started to split mainly where it was folded in transit. The toggles to attach the front and rear panels have now started to give up (now cable tied!) The door is a bit of a pain to open and has to be thrown over the roof to allow my tiptop in. There are straps to hold it open though. Door zips seem a bit lightweight but are still working. Door base flaps a lot in wind and i weight it down. This has caused it to wear where planks used rub against it.
I'm pleased with it overall. Size for the van is just about right but you can't jack it up too high!

cheers

(edited to "in transit" ! )
I think it was £470 odd at the time from a german supplier on ebay.
