Waxing / protecting the high top

Hello everyone. I am currently bursting with excitement after buying my first t25 camper today (I 'upgraded' my tatty T5 panel van!) I now am the proud owner of a white 1990 1.6 turbo diesel high top. I have to keep it out on the road, so I have been researching the best way to protect it. I have read many forums and much advice seems to suggest good quality carnauba wax will protect the paintwork / body, better than a cover. I am wondering what the best way is protect the roof (fend off mildew, keep it looking clean and preventing mold etc)... I am assuming I cannot wax it like the paintwork? I cannot find any obvious suggestions.
Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks very much!

Wax it just the same as paintwork. (Assuming it is made of fibreglass and not paper/cardboard.

)

If the roof needs a brighten up before waxing I recommend Starbrite fibreglass restorer - removes oxidation, greasy fingermarks etc. ( use it on my boat so know it is good stuff) like this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Starbrite-Fib ... 53eff0b6dc It's a 'merican product so is mis-spelt but we can forgive them for that.
