Ok as the vans nearing getting the body work finished I would like some ideas ref the bulk head,i plan to remove the top section with the opening in it,leaving the bottom panel in place. This will give more light in the rear with out having to cut windows,i can also fit a drop down seat on the lower panel. Have any of you guys done any thing similar? Pics welcome.

This is the OE window in my panel . I love the bulkhead, I know they are not for everyone. Notice the protection / reinforcement struts to the sides not sure what dictates whether these are added or not as I've seen a few windows without. Maybe you got them if window was an M code at factory. The window also gives a view through the slider as this has had a window let in. But not for long 8)

I've had vans with and without....prefer without I think but MR Bs full night walk though setup is mega...but also rare.....the ability to jump into the back is real handy..

Heres mine as you can see small opening no glass, like the big type though.

What about making it half height? Still have 3 seats up front but still be able to get into the cab with a bit of grunting...

Pros: Lovely been able to slide through both seats and make more use of the space when camping. I see it as almost essential. Vans with bulkhead have a different vibe :). Plus you can throw stuff there when camped up and its within reach. And if you need a quick getaway you can slide straight into drivers seat and drive away (dont ask...)

Cons: I do miss the bench seat. And my hands still have scars on them from unpicking and removing it.

I regretted for a about 5 hours which is the time it took me to remove it.

half height is the plan as its in 2 parts just spot welded, so pretty straight forward to get the top part out.Think i should still be able to crawl out from the back if needed lol

Take a look at a 6 seater doka. They have the half height wall that you are considering making with a trim piece on the top that finishes just under the top of the bench seat backrest.

I wish mine had a bulkhead as I want to make a door like the old 1920's passanger aircraft :)
