Telescopic replacement pushrod tubes - Any good?

Evening all. I wondered if anyone could pass on any opinions and advice on those telescopic pushrod tubes - are they any good, are they easy to fit, what are the best ones to go for etc? I have a niggly oil leak which was traced by a well respected VW specialist in Edinburgh to leaky pushrod tubes, can't remember if he said one or two but irrespective of that I wondered if anyone had experience of replacing them as it's a job I'm thinking of attempting in the coming weeks. I'm no expert mechanic but can comfortably handle 3Spanner jobs in my Haynes manual. I didn't find much in the Wiki regarding this and a quick search drew a blank too. The Haynes manual is pretty comprehensive but I just thought I'd ask anyway as the collective knowledge on this forum is invaluable! Any advice/opinions would be really appreciated. Cheers folks!
My van is a 1983 Westfalia Joker 1.9 DG Petrol btw.

Sorry never used one but they are easy to fit by the looks
Get yourself a new rocker cover gasket also
Vw heratige out of stock by the looks but these are cheaper anyway

Ipic looks like you get seals with them
You may find that getting the push rod covers off is the hardest part if the exhaust stud retaining nuts are well rusted
Get some plus gas off ebay on standby

Thanks for the advice itchy feet. New gaskets definitely sounds like a good idea. One thing tho, where are the exhaust stud bolts? Are they the bolts holding the tin splash guards over the rocker covers, or am I getting muddled up?
Thanks again.

Pushrod covers are fixed in four places
The upper fixings are also the exhaust fixing studs
