Where to fit a sender for a water temp guage?

Ok I ve had a sift through the forum and can find a shed load on fitting oil pressure/temp gauges but not a lot on the best place to fit the sender for a new water temp guage - any ideas anyone

best place is in or on the thermostat housing.
This is where the cooled coolant arrives after warm up.. and the hot coolant during warm up..then mixes together

I think I'm suffering from an extreme case of 'needle paranoia' and have lost all faith in my existing gauge as its all over the place! ! Fancy putting in a digital one - had a bit of banter with ghost over this some time ago but finaally getting round to doing something about it! !!
