Start by reading the Haynes. :ok

in there is the tightening sequence for the head nuts

buy a torque wrench to accommodate the values you will be tightening them to

If its wbx you don't retighten or you will break the head stud seals
Maybe worth adding your engine type to your posts/sig

JX engine is after 1000 miles and tightening regime per bolt depends on what type of cylinder head bolts were used i.e. specific torque vs 180º (or 2 x 90º).

Is this a flat 4 watercooled ?

If so what paperwork (and from whom) says "tighten it up" and I wonder what they are suggesting needs tightening up ?

If you a talikng head bolts, as Kev says, Haynes agrees with =

When you say "It" needs to be tightened, what bit are you referring to ?
