So. In my quest for 3 point rear seat belts for our camper. I have now come up with plan K.
As we have an awning for sleeping accommodation. How about replacing the R&R bed with a double mini bus seat with built in 3 point seat belts.
Any comments?

There are any number of threads on here about three point belts, and ways of fitting them, that don't involve trashing your interior.

As a starter, look at these threads:

https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=102170" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I think there's also some relevant info in the wiki (see the link at top left of the page).

If your Devon was based on a minibus body then you should already have three sets of mounting points in the body at the rear, one for a three point belt either side and a lap belt in the middle, that were built in by VW when they made the van. Brickwerks do a kit to turn the lap belts at the side into three point belts, and you can add an extra mounting point as per the threads above to convert the centre lap belt.

If your camper is based on a van body then presumably Devon will have fitted mounting points for lap belts, and then it shouldn't be too complicated to fit a third mounting point for each of these to enable you to fit three point belt kits - again see the threads above for more info.

Good luck with it.

Thanks for the links. I'm about to strip the interior so hopefully will be able to locate some mounting points. Do you know if you can by the "centre" belts that unclip at 2 points.
My first thought was "that Renault we had, centre belt ceiling mount, two clip points." The question there is .. Can I ceiling mount?
