Been a long few days.... repalcement AAZ engine now fitted, tomorrow is the big day.... I know after doing extensive searches I have read the info I need but didnt write it down on my list of things to remember ,I have tried to search again and I cant seem to track it down again,
I know I need to use the JX dipstick....
Could someone please tell me how much oil I need to put in?
Thanks

Yes but as have put my old JX Sump on a slightly longer AAZ block, so wont it need more oil than my origional JX?

It's just a bit taller...crankcase area etc is the same...pump is the same...sump too...so no is the answer.

Your welcome...don't be temped to add just a bit extra...higher oil level will cause oil to be whipped up by the crank for one and also could cause the engine to run away on its own oil more readily....that's not a good situation!

Also if I over fill mine by literally 1/4 of a liter it smokes like mad when pulling away cold untill the level drops again...due to the turbo I suspect.
