It's all in the 'Wiki' top left of page.

Put the correct amount of coolant in first as you will not have a completely empty system then add water to fill up.Run the engine/go for a good run to mix it.

Not as expensive as a new engine. :)

WIKI isn't particularly accurate.

Total coolant capacity

Diesel engines 16 litres ....strength is not so critical in a diesel because of it's design so (40% mix) 6.4 litres is perfectly acceptable and with minus 25C protection
Petrol engines 17.5 litres (50:50 mix) 8.75 litres protected down to minus 35C approx.

I'm sure there must be an 8090 discount code otherwise not hard to find one elsewhere :D

Yup...G12+ specification.

Strangely, 5 X 1 litre bottles work out cheaper than 1 X 5 litre

9 X 1 litre bottles works out at £24.12 Free delivery

remember your coolant is firstly a corrosion inhibitor and an antifreeze

personally I think 50/50 mix is overkill, I use 33 % .... safe down to -24 and as Kev says, its also a anti corrosion inhibitor. I use the stuff from Mr B ...

That's mad isn't it :?

And it seems that it may be cheaper if you order it online and get it delivered to your door than if you walk into the shop to buy it :?

I went into a local shop and they had small bottles of Heinz tomato ketchup that were dearer than the large ones
I pointed out the "mistake" to the girl on the till, but she said it was not a mistake, it was correct.
I said "I bet you don't sell many of the small ones then" and she said "Oh yes,we sell quite a lot of them" :?

I do this all the time. It's all about marketing. People assume the big one is cheaper or a better deal when often it is not. It's better to check.

Lets hope your 33% mix is preventing your head studs from corroding then!

50:50 half & half mix is essential on Wasserboxers (water cooled flat 4 VW's) as this strength is required to protect head studs from corrosion.
