Hi folks,
I'm new here, first post n all. Can anyone shed any light? I've just purchased a LHD 90 multivan, for some reason my rev counter is not working, I would like to get this sorted and intend to do much work myself. There's a few electrical bits I'm gonna cure...hopefully. Any ideas what's wrong with my tachometer... For starters
Kind regards
Nigel

Hi Nigel, I'm not sure I even understand your question but you can be sure someone here does. The first hurdle, is I think you've committed a faux pas. They like newcomers to introduce themselves, before putting their hand in the cookie jar. It's also appreciated when asking any question to give as much info, engine type / size etc. as possible.
Hope you get it sorted. Max

Wow, thanks for the advice and replies. So I have a 1990 reg westfalia multivan 1.6 turbo diesel. The rev counter apparently worker intermittently before I bought her. All other gauges work as they should, it's still running kph speedo. I'm thinking I need to sort the tachometer issue out as although it's a five speed it does sound like it's revving quite high and therefore I don't want to damage the engine etc.
From what I've read it looks like gearbox conversions are the norm but I'm hoping to keep it as it is.
Any advice is greatly received,
All best regards
Nigel
