Read the wiki thing and noted that I need 15W40 or 10W40 Diesel/Turbo Diesel Mineral or Semi Synthetic oil... but went to thelocal garage and he says he needs more info?

Am I being think or is this the only info I need?

forgot to mention i have a 1.6TD engine

All you need
get some from Aldi or Lidl
or a motor factor..

if that garage needs more info..it's time to take it else where

your local garage is being unhelpful ! Go to Halfords and get some yourself, take it back to him and ask if he wants you to show him where it goes

thanks all, took info elsewhere and got the right stuff...
also, will make more effort to look at screen before posting with provocative text next time.
