Replace high top with pop top?

I am seriously considering a high top T25 syncro, however I am after a pop top, the syncro I'm interested in only has the middle section cut out so in theory it should be possible to remove the high top and fit a new pop top (£2k) instead, does anyone know someone that could do this and at what cost?
I also guess that it might need repainting around the roof when the high top comes off at additional cost.
Thanks in advance.
BTW - I've posted this in several sections because it relates to roof, bodywork and syncro. Sorry if this bad form.

ROB,
Thanks - I was going to ask which one to remove it from but it looks like you have already removed the duplicate post from the 'Bodywork, Seats & Glass' section.

I'm in East Hampshire and the van that I am considering is currently in South Wales.

Check what is lurking underneath the high top first. This thread will give you an idea why.

To be fair that's a dehler conversion, What conversion is the high top?

I'm doing the same. I've ditched the Sheldon hightop and managed to get a devon pop top.
I also needed to source another roof skin as mine was badly shot. Too many poor fixes for water leaks meant the so called repairs. The fibreglass and bathroom sealant accelerated the rust. If your conversion has been done well and suitably bonded at the time then hopefully you're lucky. Mine was done badly.
The upshot is I know it will all be sound and so well protected when it's done.
My best advise is get into the nooks and crannies with a good light, pull any material back that might be covering up something.
Wet floors is a give-away.

Sorry about the slow response.
I had a look at that thread and read it from start to finish.
I can now see how bad it can be under a high top. It has made me think about double checking any high top. The van that I'm interested in has a Reimo top.
Thanks
