I have managed to acquire myself a propex 1600 compact heater, My cousin had an old Renault Traffic camper he was scraping so he kindly gave me the heater out of it
Im not sure where to locate it though, the obvious place would be under the rear seats but im thinking of having an lpg conversion in the future and this would be the only place to put the gas tank.
Do any members have propex heaters and if so where are they located on the van?

Underneath in an enclosure is the obvious solution.

Mine is under the rear seat, but my LPG tank is where the spare wheel was.

I am currently looking for a Merc "super space saver" wheel to put in the Hi-Top, they are amazing, you store them deflated and the special tyre tucks into the rim = very small and light to store

The water tank is under the rear seat in an Autohomes so they put the heater in the cupboard next to the fridge. The cool air in and hot air out were mounted in the area diectley below the door and the fresh air intake and burner exhaust were piped below the floor

I have a Propex 2000 and a 72 litre lpg tank happily sharing the space under the rear seat.

I absolutely KNOW that the LPG tanks are tested to extraordinary limits (significantly in excess of petrol tanks I believe).... But the thought of a heat / ignition sourced that close to the tank still gives me the heebeejeebees...irrational I know.

No probs Lee. You can have an executive invite to my funeral when she blows. Although that will be long after the vapouriser in the truly hazardous area of the engine compartment gives way.

I had thought about that, it would be strictly for 20mph limited emergencies, to say get off a motorway or to a safe place to stop if out in the countryside. Comments from others invited though...

My spare wheel is now in a white cover/jacket and strapped to the high top luggage rack as the LPG tank is in the spare wheel carrier under the van.

having seen spacesaver wheels in action - err no, not for me

I had my HS2000 mounted on the angled part of the rear engine bay under the r&r bed. I can still store crap in front of it. But thankfully I got in during the days when you could fit a vertical tank LPG in the musty rear wardrobe

I constructed a ply cover for the hot blown air pipe to so I could store even more crap under the seat (chairs) without crushing the ducting

I have a vw with a space saver the tyre has a rating of 99 on it, not sure how it works with different diameters.

but is the wheel up to it?
