Apparently my crank seal has started to leak, I get two pools of oil about 18" apart under the rear of the enging. Only leaks after a run.. Drips until the reservoir of the cross bar under the pulleys empties. Doe sent leak when just parked. Garage told me the crank seal needed replacing... Does the engine need to be dropped to do this. 2.1 syncro WBX?????.... Thanks

pulley seals on syncro are different so be prepared for that, ie there's two interlocking ones, one fitted on the pulley and one in the engine, and the one in the engine is not the same as the standard 2wd one. if you don't plan on off roading you can remove both and use the 2wd one, or order the syncro ones I think Brickwerks have them
Can be done in situ not much room to get it in nicely

Just a thought.
My 2wd van had a leak from the pulley seal, it turned out that the crankcase breather was blocked and the build up of pressure was forcing oil out at the weakest point.
