Ive been pulling my hair out trying to get my recently acquired 1980 2 litre AC bus to run properly - splutters as load applied and misfires under load. Carbs have been rebuilt, she's been on a rolling road and hyd tappets etc all reset but put her at correct timing and she is dire - advance her to 20 at idle and she is better. So having read all the forums ive decided as a last resort to rip out the dizzy / ignition mods the previous owner put in (009) and go back to stock. Ive sourced a dizzy but now need the idle stabiliser, ICU and the connecting leads. Been watching flea bay for a while but nothing (I did see an ICU) - anyone got any ideas where I might get this little lot ? thanks folks.

Stick a post in the wanted section, and try some of the T25 breakers who post on here. Something doesn't sound right if you have to set the advance to 20' BTDC at idle. I ran my van for years with 009 dizzie and switching back to the OEM set-up didn't make a huge difference. I'd check all the vacuum pipes between the carbs (including the ones under the air box) before binning the 009.
