hi, I have a 86 hi top. is there any chance that the top can be removed and fitted with a poptop. or is too much of the original roof removed when fitting a hi top? i think that this will give more room in the roof for the kids and also reduce the brick affect and increase mpg. also can any one recommend some where this could be done (warwickshire). i have tried to upload a picture but it is too big. bare with me and ill get one posted.
any help would be great.

if you want a pop top sell your hi top and buy one, its far easier

The only way to increase mpg is spend the money on LPG. I have a pop top and mpg is still crap!! It's the weight of the van + contents that causes the issue.

True... My point was swapping a hightop for a poptop is a waste of money that will not make much difference.

I think a pop top would give very small benefits in respect to day to day driving of a high top......regardless of the potentially misleading drag coefficient data.

I cant see the point of making such fairly dramatic changes for small gain either.
