I love HacksawBob, he never asks any straight forward questions like" Where can I find my washer bottle on my T25 " or Who sells sanctuary in Wigan ?

His questions are usually well thought out and like the rest deserve a well thought out answer.
But the answers to his questions can never be found by simply 'Googling' with the 'net' or even after a flick through the Haynes manual .

So using this brainless theory the answer should be :::::max coolant temp is usually shown on the gauge just before the needle dissapears into the RED zone. :D
And maximum pressure is determined by the age of your coolant hoses, if they are old ones don't expect to much But if you have recently thrown your wallet at the old girl and treated her to a new set you should expect the head gaskets to fail first (which is a whole new kettle of fish to worry about).

If I was you Bob I'd be knocking the middle out of the stat for the petrol motor and dumping the diesel stat if too much heat is what you are worried about .

Ah,,,,,,,Just noticed from your profile you live near Bolton which has to be the coldest place in the Northern munkie sector, so I'd be leaving the thermostats where they are for now.

Regards,

Fritz,,,,,,,, :D
