I had the same problem after I had my wheels powder coated and fitted the cheap trims, they made made the van sound terrible.
To sort it I used tabs of gaffer tape on the lumps on the wheels where the trims clip over, and a slim strip around the inside of the trim, it makes them more tricky to fit but quiet!

CHEERS FOR THE IDEA ILL GIVE IT A GO.I THINK THE HEAT FROM THE BRAKES MAY MAKE THE TRIMS EXPAND,THE RATTLE IS WORSE ON A HOT DAY . I MIGHT TRY DRILLING HOLES AROUND THE INSIDE LIP TO ALLOW THE HEAT TO ESCAPE AND COOL AIR IN AS THE WHEEL SPINS.

May be worth a try, mine rattled constantly from walking pace upwards hot or cold! It drives you nuts and makes the van sound like it's falling to pieces.[POUTING FACE]
