made the most of the good weather this week & replaced front brakes the faults was binding brake nearside and poor brakeing
after inspection discs were worn to 9mm grooved . calipers were siezed on inspection coroded/pited piston bores not repariable
all parts thanks to brickwerks and i odered wrong grease seals phoned them & thay sent me next day 2 seals FREE OF CHARGE as id spent ££££ a bit

good job.... I like shinny.... put a dab of silicone sealant over the end of the speedo drive , this will stop water from getting in there

i like it good idea

First thing i did was replace all the brakes on my van, hubs, discs, pads, callipers and all new lines and fluid. Two toddlers on board and experience of owning old golfs with dodgy brakes.

MONEY WELL SPENT!

could of switched to later hubs / single piston calipers they seem to be less prone to seizure
